WinRAR 7.23 Final | Full Version - File Compression and Extraction Program

Download WinRAR 7 for free, full version, permanent license, Thai/English language, no crack required, 32-bit/64-bit compatible with Windows 11. The world's most widely used file compression and extraction program. Supports RAR, ZIP, 7Z, TAR, GZIP formats. Latest version.

What is WinRAR?

WinRAR WinRAR is a file compression and management program developed by RARLAB. It's one of the most widely installed programs in the world because the RAR format compresses files much better than the standard ZIP format (30%). Besides creating RAR files, WinRAR can open and extract almost all existing compressed file formats, including ZIP, 7Z, TAR, GZIP, CAB, ARJ, and dozens more, making it a comprehensive file compression and extraction program.

The latest version of the RAR format supports a dictionary size of up to 64 GB, resulting in significantly better compression ratios for large files. It also features a Long Range Search algorithm for more efficient compression of large and similar files. For security, WinRAR encrypts files using AES-256 bit and allows for archive integrity verification using CRC-32 or BLAKE2 checksums as needed.

What sets WinRAR apart from other compression programs is its built-in archive repair system, which can recover RAR files damaged due to incomplete downloads in many cases. It also features the ability to create programmable self-extracting (SFX) archives, ideal for distributing files to users who don't have a file extraction program installed.

Features:

  • Compress and decompress files in various formats: Create RAR and ZIP files directly, and extract ARJ, CAB, GZIP, ISO, LZH, TAR, 7Z, Z, and many other commonly used formats.
  • Encrypt files using AES-256: Set a password to protect files in the Archive, and encrypt the filenames as well, so that even the list of files inside is invisible without the password.
  • Splitting a file into multiple parts (Split Archive): Splitting large files into smaller files of specified sizes is ideal for transferring over media with file size limitations.
  • Repair corrupted archive files: Recovering data from corrupted RAR files is possible, especially if a recovery record was created during compression.
  • Create an SFX Archive: Compress the files into an .exe file that can be extracted automatically without requiring extraction software to be installed on the target machine.
  • Long Range Search and Exhaustive Search: The algorithm searches for duplicate data remotely within a file, improving compression rates for large files and files with similar content.
  • Dictionary size maximum: 64 GB. Choose a dictionary size for compression up to 64 GB (depending on your system's RAM) for a much better compression ratio than the default setting.
  • Multi-threaded Compression: Uses multiple threads for compression to accelerate speed. Supports up to 64 threads on multi-core CPUs.
  • Propagate Mark of the Web: Transferring the security zone information of files originating from the internet to the extracted files helps Windows warn users before opening potentially dangerous files.
  • Comment and Lock Archive: Attach the explanatory text to the archive file and lock the file to prevent accidental modification or deletion of its contents.
  • Supports multiple languages and platforms: Available in over 40 languages, compatible with Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, macOS, and there's a separate RAR app for Android.

What's new?

Version 7.23

1. Fixed a heap overflow security vulnerability in the recovery volume data reconstruction code of RAR5 files, affecting WinRAR, RAR, and UnRAR. The UnRAR.dll library is unaffected as it does not include file recovery processing.

Thank you to Arjun Basnet from Securin Labs for informing us about this security issue.

2. Prevents the unintentional creation of symbolic links (virtual links) pointing outside the destination folder, which previously could occur even without the -ola command when extracting specially modified RAR files with WinRAR, RAR, UnRAR, or the UnRAR.dll library.

Adding a validation system to the file extraction code will prevent files from being placed in the specified folder, even if the extraction command is used multiple times. This eliminates the possibility of path traversal attacks when extracting files via WinRAR, RAR, or UnRAR, limiting the risk only to the scenario where another tool or program uses this symbolic link to archive files.

Thank you scofaild23-bnomran for informing us about this security issue.

3. Update the 7zxa.dll library for extracting 7z files to version 26.02 to include bug fixes and security vulnerability fixes from the source library developer.

4. The `-iver` command (switch) will always display the RAR version, even if the `-idc` command is specified in the command line, configuration file, or system environment variable (RARINISWITCHES). Previously, `-idc` blocked `-iver` from working.

Additionally, a new line character is added to the output of the `-iver` command for better formatting.
