What is Soundfont?
Soundfont MIDI is a file format used to adjust musical sounds, aiming to make synthesized music from MIDI as close to real sounds or to achieve the desired style as possible. Different creators have different methods, resulting in a wide variety of sounds, all based on synthesized MIDI sounds designed to resemble real musical instruments.
SoundFonts have larger file sizes than regular audio files because they contain more music and instrument data. They can be easily played using computer applications such as eXtreme Karaoke.
The files available for download are in .sf2 format, which is compatible with eXtreme Karaoke software. Those using this program can download and use them to enhance the sound and realism of their karaoke music.
