SketchUp for Desktop
- New Graphics Engine Capabilities – SketchUp's new graphics engine leverages enhanced hardware and software technologies for improved file navigation and responsiveness.
- Ambient Occlusion – A new style that enhances the way edges and foregrounds interact in your model, giving it depth and regression in SketchUp.
- Trimble Connect and Link Sharing – SketchUp for Desktop now includes built-in Trimble Connect. With Trimble Connect, you can share a visible-only link to your model and quickly access the .skp file.
- Adding Locations – Adding new locations makes the process of adding high-quality and accurate terrain easy. It also includes a clearly visible north arrow and improved import options.
- Improvements to IFC import and export – Importing IFC files into SketchUp is faster and more satisfying. Several improvements have been made to IFC-4 export to help maintain data balance and significantly enhance file quality.
- USDZ & gITF Interoperability – New import and export capabilities for USDZ and gITF files open up new opportunities for advanced visualization workflows and seamless transitions to and from industry-standard digital content creation tools.

Layout
- Versionless LayOut – LayOut files from version 24.0 onwards are no longer versioned. This means that files created in 2024 can be opened in a supported version (two years before the current version) of LayOut without having to save them as a specific year's version.
- Performance – A new performance tab to configure Draft mode to help you improve graphics performance while working on your document and try out graphic experiments in LayOut [Labs].
- Ambient Occlusion – The new Ambient Occlusion page style is recognized and promoted in the LayOut viewport to enhance the appearance of 2D documents.
- Improved Inferencing – LayOut's inferencing locking is more like SketchUp's. Additionally, while working on your document, LayOut limits the available references when drawing to the entity closest to your last mouse click, improving responsiveness when moving and copying entities.
- Non-Scalable Labels – These labels are not scalable, but they remain scalable when attached to the geometry of LayOut or SketchUp.
- Export Improvements – When exporting your document, you can select multiple page ranges at once. The export now includes the page names in the file name.
