Syncovery Premium This is a file sync and backup program developed by Super Flexible Software, a German software company. It focuses on tasks requiring high configuration flexibility, from simple file syncing between two folders to complex automated backup systems in enterprise environments. The program works through a fully customizable profile system, allowing control over data sources, destinations, sync modes, file filtering rules, deletion conditions, and scheduling. Multiple profiles can be created simultaneously, each operating independently.
Syncovery supports an unusually wide range of endpoints for programs in its category, covering over 40 cloud services including Amazon S3 and S3-compatible, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Backblaze B2, Box, SharePoint, iCloud Drive, iCloud Photos, Azure File Shares, Filen.io, and others. It also supports network protocols such as FTP, SFTP/SSH, WebDAV, SMB, and rsync. Syncovery 12 adds a built-in SMB client that connects directly to Windows Network Shares without relying on the Windows Credential Manager. This prevents Windows itself and other programs on the machine, including ransomware, from accessing the backup location credentials, even if the machine is compromised.
Syncovery's performance capabilities stand out in two main areas. First, there's Block-Level Copying, which copies only the modified parts of a file instead of recopying the entire file each time. This is ideal for large files with partial changes, such as databases and VM images. Second, there's Multi-threaded Scanning, which analyzes a large number of files simultaneously, supporting folders with millions of files without interruption, as well as parallel copying with adjustable thread counts during execution.

- Multiple Sync Modes: Choose according to your needs, from Standard Copying (one-way copy), Exact Mirror (makes the destination identical to the source, including deleting files not present in the source), and SmartTracking (tracks files that have been moved or renamed instead of deleting and recopying them).
- Real-Time Sync: Detect file changes via File System Monitor and sync immediately without waiting for the next scheduled cycle. You can set a delay before syncing to wait for file writing to complete.
- Scheduler is a Windows Service: Run sync jobs at scheduled times without requiring a logged-in user. Supports Cron expressions for complex scheduling and running jobs under different domain accounts and profiles.
- Block-Level Copying: Copying only the changed blocks instead of the entire file saves bandwidth and time for large files that only have partial modifications.
- Versioning: Store multiple versions of files, specify the maximum number or duration to retain, and restore previous versions as needed.

- Built-in SMB Client with Ransomware Protection: It connects directly to a network share, storing credentials only in Syncovery. This prevents Windows and other local applications, including ransomware, from accessing the backup location even after system compromise. It supports Kerberos Authentication and DFS (Distributed File Systems).
- Rclone Integration: Rclone is integrated, enabling connectivity to dozens of additional cloud storage services not supported by Syncovery on its own, without needing to install Rclone separately.
- Cloud-to-Cloud Sync: Sync directly between two cloud services, such as from Google Drive to OneDrive or from Dropbox to Backblaze B2, without using an intermediary device.
- iCloud Drive and iCloud Photos: Sync files directly from iCloud Drive and photos from iCloud Photos. Supports both Windows and macOS. Added in Syncovery 12.
- Encrypted with AES and PGP: Encrypt files before uploading to the cloud or sending them over a network. Supports both Symmetric AES and Public Key PGP. Choose to encrypt specific file types or all files.
- Sync Preview and Script Execution: View the list of files to sync before proceeding, and set the script to run automatically before or after the job to connect with other existing workflows.
