What is Adobe XD used for?

Adobe XD Adobe XD CC is a new creative tool from Adobe for designing high-quality user interface prototypes for mobile and web applications. This tool is specifically designed for rapid prototyping as well as high-fidelity user interfaces and designs. With the help of Adobe XD CC, anyone can create high-fidelity interactive prototype frames and design applications and websites. Once you have a prototype, you can import the visuals into Visual Studio or your chosen IDE to begin building the final application.

Publish the prototype and receive feedback.
Create web links to your design that you can share with others to get feedback, or embed into a webpage—for example, on Behance. Comments can be attached directly to the prototype or specific components of your design. You'll be notified immediately when a comment is added. To see your changes, the reviewer simply needs to reload the link in your browser.

It doesn't matter whether you work in one workspace or hundreds.
You can rely on XD's performance. Create as many designs as you want for different screens and devices within a project. Pan and zoom without jerking or lag. Choose a template or define your own drawing area. Copy design elements between drawing faces while the layout remains intact.

Repetition table
Select an item in your design, such as a contact list or image gallery, and repeat it frequently, either horizontally or vertically. All formatting and spacing will be preserved. When you edit the item, the changes will apply to the entire design.

Control panel “Components”
Colors and character styles are useful and can be reused when you add them to the “Elements” panel (formerly called “Symbols”). This panel also contains icons. When you edit a color or style in the panel, the changes are automatically applied throughout the document.

Next generation symbol
Working with symbols saves time. Ready-to-use design components eliminate the need to search for and edit each instance of an item in the document. When you edit an instance, all other instances are automatically updated. Overwriting certain entities is also possible. Symbols can be vector graphics, raster images, or text objects, which you can use as duplicate on-screen objects.

Creative Cloud Library
With integration into the Creative Cloud library, you can access colors and character styles created in Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, or other Creative Cloud applications and use them in your designs.

Internet: Internet connection and registration are necessary for required software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to online services.
Voice capabilities require users to be connected to the Internet to preview their prototypes.

Graphics: Minimum Direct 3D DDI Feature Set: 10. For Intel GPU, drivers released in 2014 or later are necessary. To find this information, type dxdiag on Windows search and select the Display tab.

Storage: We recommend using cloud documents (stored in Creative Cloud), but also support documents stored on local storage. We do not recommend using synced cloud storage (Creative Cloud files, Dropbox, Google Drive, and so on) or network drives to store XD documents.
