What is TeraBox?

TeraBox is a cloud storage app that provides up to 1 TB or 1,024 GB of free storage space right from the start without requiring extra payments. Developed by Flextech, the app is available for use on Android mobiles, iPhones, and computers via web browsers. Users can store photos, videos, documents, and various work files in one place, then view or download them back for use anytime from any device logged into the same account. Its core concept is to move files that consume device storage to the server, freeing up space on your phone, similar to cloud services like Google Drive, without having to delete important memories or files.

The feature that gets many people started with TeraBox is the automatic photo and video backup system. The app automatically uploads new files from your mobile album to the cloud when connected to the internet, ensuring captured photos won't be lost along with a damaged or lost device, while also helping clear device storage without having to manually select which files can be deleted one by one. Besides photos and videos, the app also supports document files, music, compressed archives, and general work files, complete with folder organization, file name search, and file preview features without needing to download them to the device first. Videos can also be played online instantly without waiting for the full file to download.

Another frequently used feature is file sharing. The app generates a link to send files to others without actually sending the files through chat or email. The recipient simply clicks the link to download the file, and the sender can set a password or expiration date for the link to control how long the files remain accessible. This method is suitable for sending large files that cannot be sent through normal channels, or for sharing photo albums with family and friends simultaneously without compressing files to the point of losing image quality.

In terms of security, TeraBox features data encryption during transmission and storage, along with account and password login systems, ensuring private files are not exposed to others without authorized access. For those who frequently take photos and videos until phone storage fills up quickly, those who need to store work files across multiple devices, or those who want backup copies of important files outside their device, TeraBox is an easy-to-start option because it provides plenty of space to store thousands to tens of thousands of files, and if more space is needed, you can later upgrade to a paid subscription plan.
